Proof of Claim
An official form filed by a creditor setting out its claims against a debtor. The form must describe the type of debt (e.g. administrative, priority, secured, or unsecured), the amount of the debt and when it was incurred. It must also attach documentation proving the validity of the debt. A proof of claim is presumed valid on its face unless the debtor can prove, through an objection to the proof of claim, tat the claim is invalid.
